Shoulder Movement Learning Guide

After breast cancer surgery, patients struggle to get back to the activities they love.  Surgery and treatment as well as feeling weak and fatigued cause problems with movement.  There's decreased range of motion, tightness, and pain as well as loss of strength.

What makes it hard to start moving is that you're not sure what the problem is.  What should you stretch?  What's behind the pulling pain when you reach?  What's causing the ache running up to your neck after dinner?

The biggest problem with movement for breast cancer patients is in the shoulder joints.  And this limits all sorts of activities from washing your hair, reaching for your coffee cup, and getting dressed.

So if you're tired of the pain and tightness, the first step in getting back into the groove is learning a little bit about what's bugging you.  That's what this Learning Guide is all about.
